I have a 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback with stock summer tires which are 235/40R18 and would like to down size to R16 like a 215/55R16 and just wondering what the best winter rim offset I should go with so the tires and rim looks close to stock I see two rims that will fit and just now sure which is better +35mm or +45mm. It says that anything from +35 to 50mm will work. Thanks, Roman
Hi Roman!
This is a great question. To give you an answer, both the +35mm and the +45mm offsets will work for your Civic, but if your goal is to keep things as close to stock as possible, the +45mm offset would be the better choice. The +45mm will sit further inside the fenders compared to the +35mm offset. We generally prefer wheels to be a bit more recessed during winter to ensure that snow or debris is not splashing up the side of your car like it can sometimes do.
The Art Replica Element wheel that you picked is a guaranteed direct fitment for Honda, so you don't require any centering rings or lug nuts. This makes it an amazing choice if your goal is to keep things looking and fitting like a stock wheel.
I hope this helps make a decision!
