I have a 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback with stock summer tires which are 235/40R18 and would like to down size to R16 like a 215/55R16 and just wondering what the best winter rim offset I should go with so the tires and rim looks close to stock I see two rims that will fit and just now sure which is better +35mm or +45mm. It says that anything from +35 to 50mm will work. Thanks, Roman

This is a great question. To give you an answer, both the +35mm and the +45mm offsets will work for your Civic, but if your goal is to keep things as close to stock as possible, the +45mm offset would be the better choice. The +45mm will sit further inside the fenders compared to the +35mm offset. We generally prefer wheels to be a bit more recessed during winter to ensure that snow or debris is not splashing up the side of your car like it can sometimes do.
