Our Fitment Guarantee
Many customers ask, "What exactly is your fitment guarantee? What does it mean?" To address this, we created this page to clearly explain our 100% fitment guarantee. Our goal is to be transparent about our responsibilities and what we expect from our customers. This page provides all the details about our fitment guarantee. Ensuring that our customers feel completely confident when purchasing wheels and tires from Wheelwiz is our priority. We want you to feel comfortable dealing with us. With our rigorous fitment verification process and over 40 years of combined experience in the wheel and tire industry, Wheelwiz is a leader in this field. If anything here is unclear, please contact us at info@wheelwiz.ca before placing an order.
Our Wheel and Tire Database
At Wheelwiz, we use one of the world's most sophisticated wheel and tire fitment databases. This database powers our website's wheel and tire results, determining the minimum and maximum allowable parameters we display. We prioritize transparency and want you to know that our data leans slightly on the conservative side. This means certain larger or wider wheels and tires might fit your vehicle in "real-world applications," but we may not suggest them in our results. We choose this conservative approach to ensure the wheels and tires you purchase from us stay within your vehicle's body for both fitment and legal reasons.
Every order is cross-referenced with our database for accuracy. Additionally, we perform an extra layer of verification with the wheel and tire manufacturers as a failsafe. This rigorous process helps us maintain a very low rate of human error or fitment-related mistakes.
Please note that our database has some limitations. Older vehicles (from the 1980s or earlier) and vehicles never originally sold in North America might not be included. In these cases, we conduct online research to find the necessary information. Rest assured, we're very good at this!
In the extremely unlikely event that both our data and the manufacturer's data prove to be incorrect, Wheelwiz will take full responsibility for any fitment issues that may arise.
Fitment Guarantee on Wheels
When purchasing alloy or steel wheels from Wheelwiz, each order is reviewed by one of our wheel and tire specialists. To ensure perfect compatibility with your vehicle, we will reference our database and the manufacturer's fitment data to verify and confirm the following specifications:
If any of these specifications cause a fitment issue, we will take back the order and cover all shipping costs.
Note: Wheels must be test-fitted without tires. Wheels that have had tires mounted are considered final sale.
Wheelwiz will not be responsible for incorrect vehicle information provided by the customer. Customers are responsible for providing the correct year, make, model, submodel, drive type (FWD/RWD/AWD/4WD), body style, and original wheel size for their vehicle. Customers are also responsible for confirming the diameter they are shopping for. For example, if your vehicle comes with a 20" wheel from the factory, you are responsible for knowing if you are shopping for 20" wheels or if you are looking to upsize (21") or downsize (19") your wheels. Please contact us if you are unsure of your wheel and/or tire size.
*Wheelwiz will be responsible for confirming that the staggered wheels being purchased will fit the vehicle correctly; however, customers will be responsible for knowing if they are shopping for staggered or square applications.
If the vehicle information provided is incorrect or the wheel size purchased is not what was needed, shipping fees and a 25% restocking fee will be charged to the customer and deducted from the final refund. All restocking fees will be waived if a replacement order is placed, but shipping fees will still apply.
If we contact you about a fitment issue or concern we may have identified and you choose to proceed with the order against our recommendation, the order will be considered a final sale and non-returnable.
Fitment Guarantee on Tires
When purchasing tires from Wheelwiz, each order is reviewed by one of our wheel and tire specialists. To ensure perfect compatibility with your vehicle, we reference our database and tire size calculators to verify and confirm the following specifications:
Wheelwiz will not be held responsible for the following:

Mounted Package
Wheelwiz guarantees fitment for all mounted packages. All aspects of the wheel fitment guarantee and tire fitment guarantee apply.
Mounted packages are considered final sale unless a fitment issue or incorrect items are received. In such cases, we will exceptionally accept the return of a mounted package. Wheelwiz will require pictures demonstrating the issue as well as your vehicle's VIN. If an error is made on our part, we will take back the order in full and cover all shipping costs. If an error is made due to incorrect vehicle information being provided, the order will be considered final sale and will not be returnable.
Returns on mounted packages solely for aesthetic reasons will not be accepted.
Mounted packages must not be driven on to be eligible for returns due to fitment issues.
Wheelwiz asks that you keep all protective packaging in case of necessity for a return.
If we contact you about a fitment issue or concern we may have identified and you choose to proceed with the order against our recommendation, the order will be considered a final sale and non-returnable.
Aggressive Fitment
Wheelwiz offers an "aggressive fitment" filter when shopping for wheels or tires. Our aggressive fitment filter will open parameters for diameter, width, and offset for wheels, along with width and aspect ratio for tires, allowing you to shop for wheels and tires that are considered too big or wide for your vehicle. Wheelwiz will not be responsible for fender clearances or rubbing issues caused by aggressive fitment wheels and/or tires. All aggressive fitment wheels are considered final sale. Returns or exchanges due to fitment issues will not be accepted. This policy will supersede the standard wheel fitment guarantee, tire fitment guarantee, and mounted package guarantee.
Test Fitting Policy
If purchasing wheels only, "test fitting" wheels is absolutely mandatory. "Test fitting" means that wheels must be tried on your vehicle before mounting any tires. This will entail the wheel resting on the hub of the vehicle. We suggest loosely installing one lug nut/bolt to ensure the wheel stays in place during the test fit. The test fit must be done on the front and rear of the vehicle. The test fit should provide a minimum of 3mm of clearance between the face of the caliper and the back of the spokes, 3mm of clearance between the top of the caliper and the barrel of the wheel, and a minimum of 10mm of clearance between the inner lip of the wheel and any suspension component.
We often get asked, "Why do we need to do a test fit if there's a fitment guarantee?" There are a few reasons for this:
All five of these scenarios are very rare, but mistakes can happen. Test fitting your wheels is a quick and easy fail-safe that can mutually save time and hassle. Please be advised that wheels that have had tires mounted are considered to be used and non-returnable.
Installation Kits
We guarantee that our installation kits will include the correct quantity of lug nuts/bolts, centering rings, and socket. We also guarantee that the lug nut/bolt length, thread pitch, seat, and hex size will be compatible with your new wheels and vehicle. We equally guarantee that the inner and outer diameter of the centering rings sent will correspond to the vehicle's hub diameter and the wheels' center bore diameter. Lastly, we guarantee that the socket adapter will be compatible with your vehicle's original tire lug wrench.
Unspecified Modifications or Alterations
It is crucial to declare any modifications or alterations that may impact wheel and tire fitment:
Wheelwiz will not be responsible for any wheel or tire fitment issues caused by any of these modifications or alterations.
Replacement Wheels
Wheelwiz guarantees that replacement wheels purchased from us will fit your vehicle. However, we cannot guarantee that the replacement wheels will match the diameter, width, offset, finish, and center bore of your existing wheels unless a specific part number is provided to us or unless the original wheels were purchased from Wheelwiz. Replacement wheels are final sale.
