Two questions - why "no snow"? I wouldn't likely use them over winter but it's always possible there's some snow here in early spring and late fall. That leads to the second question - is the bronze color painted on? Is there a risk that would chip/peel over time? Thanks.

This wheel is not suggested for winter use because it has a machined face. Machined finishes typically don't do well with Canadian winters, as the salt and debris on the roads can pierce the clear coat and start tarnishing the finish prematurely. We usually suggest a fully painted wheel for winter use. If you use them for a week or so during first snow fall, I don't think you would have much to worry about, but I would highly recommend giving the wheels a good cleaning before storing them away for winter.
The bronze finish has little to no risk of peeling over winter.
